Right fielder Skip Schumaker had 2 base hits and Steve Trachsel tossed a
shutout at the ballpark where the Chainsaw Proctologists beat the Burbank
Tigers 7 to 0.
Trachsel(4-7) had a strong outing. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just
6 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. The pitchers took over after the 2nd inning
as neither team was able to score again.
Nate Robertson(4-8) was the losing pitcher. 'Ahhh, that victory was surely
needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully grim,' noted Rick Graves.
'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together and turn things around!'
